Designed to overcome the challenges of a lack of JIS-like options with realistic keyset compatibility.
The JIS keyboard standard does not specify any key sizes - over the years, this has led to a complete lack of standardization of modifier key sizes and layouts.
This project aims to offer a fully functional JIS layout which uses common key/modifier sizes, allowing for easy parts sourcing.
The PCB is designed with hotswap sockets and GH60 dimensions, allowing for use of readily available and accessible cases.
The plate design is also made in FR4, lowering the cost of entry even further.
